Athlete Management &
Social Platform
A complete social platform for athletes — register, connect, record workouts, and surface performance through a proprietary ACI Index™, connecting players with coaches and colleges across iOS, Android, and web from one codebase.
Client and identifying details redacted under NDA.
| Session | Date | Duration | ACI impact |
|---|---|---|---|
| Explosive Power | Aug 14 | 52 min | +2.4 |
| Sprint Intervals | Aug 12 | 40 min | +1.8 |
| Strength & Core | Aug 10 | 65 min | +1.1 |
A complex ecosystem on a self-funded budget.
Athletes, coaches, and institutions had no single digital home that was also a genuine social platform — and no objective performance metric. Delivering it meant payments, real-time updates, notifications, algorithmic scoring, and heavy media, across iOS, Android, and web. Traditionally an 8–10 person effort — on a limited, self-funded budget.
One codebase, every platform, consumption-based.
After a careful stack evaluation, we built on Ionic + Angular with Capacitor — a single source base outputting iOS, Android, and web simultaneously, run by 2–3 developers instead of 8–10. Everything sits on a consumption-based serverless backend that scales up and down with demand, and the ACI Index™ turns recorded workouts into trusted performance facts.

Solving media at a fraction of the cost.
The biggest challenge was video. A traditional pipeline — FFmpeg processing, a service-bus queue orchestrating each task, plus storage and streaming from blob — meant custom containers and services that would take weeks to months to build and would be expensive to keep running. Adopting Mux for processing, streaming, and storage collapsed that entire subsystem: roughly 30% less compute, 20% less queue cost, 70% less streaming network, and 40% less storage — shipped in days, not months.
lean team, enterprise reach.
lower infrastructure cost vs. a serverfull architecture, via consumption-based serverless scaling.
iOS, Android, and web shipped from a single codebase — maintained by a 2–3 developer team.
reduction in streaming network cost after moving media to Mux (plus 40% storage, 30% compute).
