A brand-new product, built from scratch.
The software didn't exist — every part had to be invented. Artists needed to reclaim revenue that streaming erodes; the tap-a-card experience had to feel effortless, not gimmicky; and traffic would be wildly unpredictable, demanding a system that stays real-time with zero downtime while remaining cost-effective.
Encrypted taps on a serverless spine.
A consumption-based serverless architecture scales up for spikes and down when quiet. Each NFC card maps to a real-time decryption algorithm, so its microsite opens only on a genuine tap — never a copied URL. On top sit five modules: the public publication, artist onboarding, artist portal, admin portal, and the fan mobile app.

Breaking past the API gateway ceiling.
As the feature set grew, we hit a hard platform limit: each gateway allows only 100 function registrations. Versioning or splitting endpoints both meant sweeping changes and full regression. Instead we built a bridge proxy gateway that routes by custom per-service policy to secondary gateways — giving effectively unlimited function endpoints with zero downtime, near-zero maintenance, and no premium-tier cost.
