The Challenge

Seven roles, one long pipeline.

Every campaign passes through many main and sub actors — brand admins and designers, prepress users, design managers, staff, and field installers and removers. Building a separate platform for each role would have meant enormous development time and ongoing maintenance, with brittle hand-offs between disconnected systems.

The Solution

One codebase, a rules engine, strict RBAC.

We built the entire system as a single source base for every actor — a custom rules engine plus strong, flexible role-based access control. All features live at the core; RBAC policies on both front-end and back-end decide precisely what each role sees and can do. One product, seven tailored experiences, no duplicated platforms.

Making a 34-step pipeline reliable.

The hardest problem was reliably driving a full campaign life-cycle — 34 steps and statuses per asset — while coordinating third-party systems like the printer's API and QuickBooks, and tracking external contractors. We used AWS SQS as the backbone: every step of every asset moves through a queue that controls transitions, checks fallbacks, and guarantees recoverability, so nothing is lost and every hand-off is auditable — even across services outside our control.
